(August 15, 2004) - The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) recently announced the promotions of Eric Byer to vice president of government and industry affairs and Amy Koranda to director, safety management. Byer had been director of government and industry affairs. Koranda was formerly manager of education and training.

Koranda -- an active commercial pilot with instrument and multi-engine ratings-- joined the association in 1998 as manager, education and training. She has developed NATA’s Safety 1st Program into a nationally recognized line-service safety-training program employed by more than 600 FBOs. She will now oversee the development of the association’s recently launched safety management program.
